This is a pre-order for collection from the 21st November 2024
If ever there was a way to combat any ensuing autumnal blues, a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau is surely one of them. The style is fruity, joyful and fresh: a perfect partner for almost any meal and certainly excellent for just drinking by itself.
A great contrast to the heavier and more complex wines that we may turn our glasses toward as the weather becomes chillier.
With only a matter of weeks between harvest and bottling, there is always a certain sense of anticipation and energy surrounding this “new wine” which will be the very first possible moment for us to experience what this year’s vintage has to offer.
So, what’s happening in vintage 2024?
It’s been a complicated year for Beaujolais growers, with late flowering and damp conditions, leading to a delayed harvest. Harvest dates are predicted to return to the traditional: late August or early September. This will shorten the time for winemakers to work their magic and there are predictions of some reduction in volumes, but all signs point to classically joyful and juicy wines.
