On the nose fresh notes of cherry and floral notes such as violet with herbs and then on the palate intense rich notes of blackberry and cherry with hints of black olives. Enchanting and medium bodied with elegant tannins and fulfilling sapidity. The wine spends 4 months in French oak for lovely hints of spice and velvety smooth finish. Nero di Troia is also commonly referred to as Uva di Troia and is a native variety from Puglia.
The heel of Italy, Puglia is a southern region known for its warm Mediterranean climate with the name thought to be derived from the Latin `a-pluvia` or lack of rain. Tenuta Viglione is a family run organic producer.
