Lovely ripe cassis fruit and plenty of it with some warm wood spice, and cigar box. Very approachable but still proper claret. The palate is medium-bodied and structured with round, warm fruit and a velvety finish.
This 30-year-old vineyard directly neighbours the Fronsac AOC and is planted with 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques are used with partial ageing in oak barrels to bring smoothness and elegance to this wine.
