Finca El Palacio was planted in 1969 as a field blend of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano and a bit of Viura. It’s certainly not a wine that anyone should be in a hurry to drink, as it’s very young and closed right now. Richly coloured, chewy and intense, with damson and blood orange flavours, assertive toasty oak and lots of grip and extraction. One to tuck away. TA
